Homeland Security Threat Level

A color-coded system developed by the Department of Homeland Security for representing the threat of a terrorist attack to the American public as determined by intelligence agencies.  Since September 11, the threat level has never been lower than Yellow, or Elevated, and it has been occasionally higher, causing increased vigilance and security measures at certain locations.
