Exclusive: Five Things to Love about the Palin Choice

As I am writing this, the Left and the mainstream media are busy trying to do what they do best: pout and throw dirt when their agenda is threatened, which is often.

As soon as John McCain shocked everyone with the master stroke of choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate, the two-headed dragon of the Left and its mainstream media got to work trying to sabotage that move.

It would truly be a shame if the kind of unfortunate or unsavory past event that liberals conveniently ignore in their own candidates on a regular basis would be allowed to stifle this great opportunity for America that Sarah Palin offers.

The above concerns aside, there are five reasons to love the choice of Sarah Palin, and each reason carries good news for America and a revealing snapshot of the cynical, bitter and pathetic hypocrites who comprise the two-headed dragon.

Reason # 1: Sarah Palin is Ronald Reagan with two X chromosomes

Conservatives have spent the last decade or longer wishing and praying for a reincarnation of Ronald Reagan to come along. They have been hoping for someone who would represent all the things Reagan stood for but, as often happens in life, one never knows just how one’s hopes will be realized.

From her charismatic and sincere love for this country to her positions on all the key issues that make conservatives proud not to be liberals, Sarah Palin is shaped in Ronald Reagan’s political image. Her words are not mere spotlights of rhetoric but expressions of sincere actions. What her experience may lack in depth it more than compensates in genuine and practical application and potential. She does not so much speak to people as connect to their hearts. Given the chance, Sarah Palin will win over many of the independent hearts and minds that will decide this election.

Reason # 2: Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air so needed by our side and America as well

While it is a great thing that Sarah Palin reminds us of Ronald Reagan, it is an even better thing that she is nevertheless the breath of fresh air so necessary in this changing and impatient political and social environment.

Barack Obama has turned the call for change into a mantra covering up his relative lack of experience. The Left and the media have spent the entire summer downplaying that inexperience and overplaying Obama’s fresh, youthful, charismatic and passionate view of America. Obama himself has told us that he comes to clean house, to represent a break with Washington-as-usual and to put the interests of the people and personal conviction above party and political expediency.

While Obama, as usual, thinks that words make reality, Sarah Palin has put her actions where her mouth is. While Obama speaks of cleaning house, Sarah Palin actually cleaned up the GOP establishment in her state, effectively and boldly fighting corruption. While Obama speaks about breaking with political favoring and special interests, Sarah Palin made her own party accountable and has acted to favor the people over her political associates and benefactors. While Barack Obama often speaks about putting people before party and political practicality, Sarah Palin has actually done that, working for the people and against anyone, even those in her own party, who may have forgotten that public servants serve the people first.

In brief, Barack Obama speaks about change for the sake of change while Sarah Palin actually represents that change for the sake of America. At the end of the day, Barack Obama is about change toward the Left and Sarah Palin is about change toward the people.

Reason # 3: Sarah Palin neuters Joe Biden

Barack Obama, in his role as a classy, clean and smiling super hero who never resorts to dirty tactics, had Joe Biden ready, willing and able to tear John McCain’s running mate choice to shreds. The attack dog was ready and eager to get his teeth into the GOP duo, but the choice of Sarah Palin has left this dog with no teeth.

If Biden attacks Palin viciously, he risks alienating voters the way Rick Lazio alienated New York voters by taking his gloves off against Hillary Clinton in that state’s senatorial campaign.
If he stifles himself too much, he risks letting Palin walk all over him. Finally, her mere presence will make Biden look like yesterday’s same old wrong answer to today’s problems.

Reason # 4: Sarah Palin represents everything that the Left is not

Conservatives are never as successful as when they are able to put the contrast between liberal and conservative values in sharp, clear focus. On every critical and key political issue, Sarah Palin manages to strongly exude core conservative principles laced with the fresh twist of change so craved by today’s voting public.

Everything about this fantastic woman drips with ample repudiation of every lie and distortion that liberals have offered and their pet media has sold for the past four decades. In short, she is a walking contradiction to the liberal line and its pet media’s lies.

Reason # 5: Sarah Palin makes the Left and its media poodles furious

The feminist Left is outraged with the Palin choice because they vegetate under the sad illusion that they alone hold the exclusive right to represent American women. While these people were busy burning their bras and bashing men, women like Sarah Palin were busy reminding us of just how great women can be while still maintaining the unique and transcendent role that only women can hold. Simply put, Sarah Palin powerfully makes obvious what many have already known for some time. Namely, that the Left’s radical feminists are tired, distorted and defeated notions of what is best for American women and families. They are yesterday’s wrong news and Sarah Palin is today’s right answer and tomorrow’s best hope.

The Left is outraged with the Palin choice because they subsist under the notion that dirt, gossip and rumor coupled with lies, distortions and biased hypocrisy are the weapons of choice to defeat anyone who fights with sincere and genuine integrity. This is why we are hearing the stories about Palin’s unwed, pregnant daughter; her husband’s past driving issues and the like. Such dirt is the only tool such fools know how to use in their vile efforts to tear down anyone and anything that reveals just how pathetic and sad their side truly is.

The ridiculous mainstream media detests Sarah Palin because she dares to take the spotlight away from their darling Obama. Many whine that, now, conservatives cannot speak of Obama’s inexperience because Sarah Palin is just as, if not more, inexperienced. I will take the opposite side on this absurd experience issue.

It is my contention that, while Sarah Palin is inexperienced in many ways, whatever experience she does have is actually more practical, hands-on and genuine that anything Obama can scrape up for his pet media to worship and foam about. Furthermore, while Joe Biden clearly has much more experience than Sarah Palin, that experience consists of making the wrong choices over and over again, always making the wrong choices for America and generally sticking his foot in his mouth so often that he should just go to a shoe store when he needs dental work.

Simply put, Sarah Palin is a real threat to the Left and its pathetic minions, from radical feminists to arrogant media groupies and everyone in between. It is often said that one can be judged by looking at who one’s enemies are. If that is the case, Sarah Palin is a great American and the best thing that has happened to the GOP in a long time, for her opponents represent precisely what is wrong with the Left and its bitter legacy of selfish hypocrisy, manipulative arrogance and losing formulas for America, its people and most elections where voters actually think.

Conclusion

Somewhere along the line, sometime in this campaign zoo, John McCain realized that his mantra of experience over change would not get him over the top. Despite some poll numbers showing him as a competitive candidate, McCain saw his message as lacking the kind of charismatic and passionate spark that Barack Obama seemed to exude by merely entering a room.

McCain could have played it safe, content to do what is expected, say he did his best, and lose in November. He could have put the weight of this thing on the American voter, put the issue in their hands and thus deflect much of the blame for defeat. Maybe, just maybe, that is the way liberals do things. Perhaps they seek to manipulate, spin, twist and portray things in such a way as to allow escape, exit and rationalization. Maybe, their first instinct is to prepare excuses or shift the blame on others.

Certainly, liberals are experts of hypocrisy, pretending to be pioneers of change while resenting any change they have not initiated. Definitely, they are masters of whining, crying foul at every defeat while excusing any corruption or dirty tactics that benefit their cause.

Rather than play it safe, McCain showed real guts and unselfish determination with this choice.
If it proves to be wrong, his campaign is sunk. There will be no outs, no excuses and no nets on this one If it proves to be a good choice, he will have risked his political neck to do what is right for this country. That is foreign language to those who think about themselves before their country and its people.

If Sarah Palin can rise above the mud, dirt, slime and hypocrisy that the Left will surely fling her way, I think that she can do much good for this country. If she can transcend the irresponsible, pathetic and blatant bias served by the mainstream media, Sarah Palin might just be able to change the course of American politics. Above all, if enough independent voters can let her speak to their hearts and minds and ignore the rubbish the Left and its pet media will sell, this hockey mom from Alaska will be given a chance to remind us of what public servants are supposed to do. No wonder liberals and their perpetual running mates, the mainstream media, hate this choice. They would never think of sticking their necks out for America, of taking big risks, for the good of this country.
