Senior Intelligence Officials: Attempted Terror Attack "Certain"

The five senior leaders of the U.S. intelligence community told a Senate panel they are "certain" that terrorists will attempt another attack on the United States in the next three to six months.
If true, why do you think the jihadists feel emboldened?

Why Do We Ignore Red Flags?

If there was ever a “red flag” that both the FBI and the Army should have heeded, it was the army psychiatrist, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, On November 5, 2009, he murdered 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded 29 others. This is what we know about him:

  • He was born in the United States of Palestinian immigrant parents and lived in northern Virginia, a hotbed of Muslim jihadi recruitment. He has benefited from “outreach” all his life, including his medical education paid for by the Army.
  • His colleagues disliked him and were hesitant to refer patients to him because he was cold and an obvious religious fanatic. He shocked them at a conference by presenting a rant on the Koran, in which he indicated that he believed its most horrific threats about the fate of “non-believers.” Even his other Muslim colleagues expressed dismay at his literal belief in this.
  • On the day of the massacre, he was filmed at his favorite 7-11 market in Muslim costume (tunic, pajama bottoms, and skull cap). The manager of the market, Muslim himself, said he seemed completely normal – no sign of stress. He also said that Maj. Hasan regularly nagged him about attending weekly prayers at the mosque, which the manager always declined.
  • On that fateful day, Hasan gave away all his furniture to his neighbors – a red flag of intended martyrdom. His apartment manager also reported a visitor, dressed in Muslim costume, who came and left in five minutes. Hasan had never permitted a visitor before. Hasan had also paid six months rent when he took the apartment and had made no indication of paying the next.
  • His web site had already alerted the FBI because he had written about suicide bombing (which he preferred to call martyrdom) and compared the bravery of the Japanese Kamakazis to Islamic martyrdom. A neighbor reported that Hasan asked to use his computer, even though he had his own.

Why was Hasan allowed to continue serving in the military after so many red flags – excessive religiosity, alarming web site, upbringing in a Jihadi hotbed), and bad performance reviews? Why was officialdom so fearful of identifying him as a dangerous religious fanatic who should be removed from the army? And now why are officials reluctant to call this act terrorism?

That Maj. Hasan was heard to shout “Allah Akbar” (God is Great) when he started to shoot should tell us that he was doing jihad. Even worse, he lied on his army recruitment forms by stating that he had “no religious preference” – an obvious intent to deceive. Long premeditation appears to have been here, which will be revealed in his trial. Post-traumatic stress is not the case; he had not been deployed yet.

A book that should be must reading for you – and for all of our representatives and officials is Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America, by P. David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry. The authors make it clear that this is not a book about Islam or Muslims in general, but about a secretive organization that presently dominates most established Muslim groups and mosques in America (courtesy of Saudi money) – as much a danger to law-abiding Muslim Americans as to the rest of us.

Gaubatz infiltrated CAIR, a front for the Muslim Brotherhood, and was able to obtain a vast number of documents, bank receipts, and secret policy plans – which appear in the appendix to the book. This organization has passed itself off as “moderate,” but is apparently anything but that. In the book are a timeline of U. S. Muslim Brotherhood Milestones (1960-2009); key U.S. Muslim Brotherhood Front Organizations (including the notorious Muslim Students Association); infiltration of Congress (direct money to representatives and staff); and infiltration of academe, from universities to grade schools. There is also a sizeable list of criminals now either serving terms in prison or deported. FBI agents are doing their job despite the timidity of some of their superiors.

This was a terror attack, apparently premeditated and executed.
